Sobriquet: Parsnip -- The meaning of Tom's last name, Pasternack, from Polish. Only pack members can use Tom's nickname.

Appearance: Standing just five foot - nine inches tall, Tom always wished he were taller because women like to lean in during a slow song and its easier to look another man in the eyes before you send him to his maker. Tom's hair is wild and dark, seeming to slip into his eyes against his will and every so often he will brush it away, cigarette in hand. His face is lean and angular, while his dark eyes look out from beneath heavy brows, giving him a brooding air that lends itself to his rebel-without-a-cause machismo. Tom is lean and hard like an old tomcat, his sallow skin is host to a number of tattoos, the oldest of which he earned in a Soviet gulag in eastern Poland after World War II. He likes to wear good solid denim jeans, heavy biker boots, a worn leather jacket and his old war-time motorcycle goggles. He still wears his W.W.II dog-tags, the army issued Colt M1911A1 .45 automatic pistol, and a matching set of German S.S. signet ring and death's head dagger he took from a dying Nazi officer.

Behavior: Tom Pasternack is self-contained. He likes to drink, ride and think in the absence of other people, be they kine or Cainite. The only exceptions to this rule are his pack, American Gothic. This makes Tom hard to approach, but Tom, always a patriot, sees himself as a champion of the Sabbat cause. He is a loyalist to the core and follower of the path of enlightenment known as Honorable Accord. Despite this, Tom is no knight or Samurai, rather he is a modern day Robinhood fighting for truth, justice and the American way, Sabbat style.

History: Tom was born into a Polish immigrant family who had moved to Detroit around the turn of the twentieth century. His father was a butcher by trade and opened a shop under the family name. Tom was thirty years old when the United States of America entered World War II with the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. Tom immediately volunteered and joined the army, while he likes to brag that it was his patriotic duty, he was really escaping a difficult marriage, too many kids and a boring life behind the counter at his father's butcher shop. Tom reckoned that if he was going to get blood on his hands, he should get paid for it and see the world along the way. He left Detroit and his family and never looked back.
