The Forsaken

Background: A Sabbat leader from New York sent Cameron's pack to Chicago following the sect's defeat during the Lupine attack. Flown in by Tyler, and set up in one of her auxiliary havens, the pack was supposed to prepare for the Sabbat's next attempt on the city. To this end, Cameron had ordered the pack to scout the city in order to determine how it could be most effective. Cameron believed this pack offers him a chance to gain prestige within the Sabbat, but other pack members knew better.

The Sabbat leaders did not expect the pack to succeed. They put together the biggest mish-mash of losers they could find. When the pack actually made its move, it was expected to fail horribly and expose Tyler in the fallout. Tyler's dark past was supposed to be revealed, forcing her to join the sect to survive, and then the Sabbat could make its real move against the city.

Back in 1991, the original pack called themselves the Nomads and consisted of seven members: Cameron (ductus), Bill Butler (pack priest), Lolita Houston (Tzimisce neonate), Samson (Ventrue antitribu), Margarite (Pander neonate), Belladonna (Toreador antitribu neonate) and Tyler (now a Brujah antitribu). The Nomads remained under deep cover for a decade and slowly, over time, started gravitating in different directions.

In 2001, Lolita Houston had finally had enough of Cameron. His over-cautious micro-managing, paying lip-service to the Sabbat's grand plan, and underwhelming leadership skills brought her ambitious nature to the fore. Secretly, Lolita went to Wendy Wade for permission to engage Cameron in the rite of monomancy for leadership of the Nomads. But Wendy Wade forbade Lolita from carrying out such a coup, instead she authorized Lolita to form a second pack made of the female Sabbat, who would eventually call themselves the Daughters of Darkness. This turn of events did not sit well with Cameron, but he was powerless to stop it and shortly thereafter, he renamed the nomadic pack, the Forsaken.

Two years later, the Forsaken were called upon by Wendy Wade to host Tremen Hall, ductus of a scouting party deep undercover behind enemy lines in Camarilla controlled New York city. Dr. Hall had recently returned to Chicago and made a beautiful mess of the Masquerade and alerting the Sabbat to his presence. But it was Dr.Hall who came looking for the Sabbat of Chicago. He proposed a joint venture
